PPTA

Product Name: Sodium Hyaluronate

Synonyms: Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronan, Hyaluronate, HA, Hyaluronic Acid

Sodium Hyaluronate (HA) is a biocompatible, biodegradable and non-toxic, natural polymer, which is gaining status as a fence agent for preventing post-surgical adhesions. Post-surgical adhesion occurs when fibrous strands of scar tissue form, leading to the abnormal joining of functional structures. Patients undergoing gastric surgery are at risk of the difficulties related to intraperitoneal adhesions. As HA is water-soluble and rapidly degraded in vivo, chemical modification is vital to produce a non-soluble sheet that might be used to avert tissue adhesion.

In addition, HA prevents post-operative bleeding and oozing, reduces the number of blood clots, which may form permanent adhesions, and avoids deposits of fibrin in the surface tissue. The high concentration, high molecular weight hyaluronan can also prevent the migration and phagocytosis of granulocyte, resulting in an anti-inflammatory effect. Hyaluronan gel applied on the surface of a wound can also excel the healing process.

HA/Hyaluronan is available in a variety of forms. These include solutions, (such as Sepracoat), membrane (such as Seprafilm, Re-pel, Lubricoat, Incert, etc.), gels (such as Lubricoat gel), and powders.

ALB provide high quality pure Sodium Hyaluronate powder, pharmaceutical and medical grade.
